Dear Hhan,

Its a strong portrait, where nothing really distracts the viewer. The background is dark enough to let the well illuminated man dominate the picture. Though I don't smoke, his movement and the smoke enhances the atmosphere.

I wonder what he was looking so deeply. :)

A beautiful study of this old man. It's carefully composed, and judging by the clothes and pose, this is a controlled and directed portrait rather than a street grab-shot, though I could be wrong. Of course it's none the worse for that! I like the heavy negative space surrounding him.
