Photographer's Note

"In Spanish, Monteverde means "green mountain" and it is one of the most interesting and most popular tourist destinations in Costa Rica. Best know for the world famous Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve where this picture was taken.
This large reserve is one of the most outstanding wildlife sanctuaries in the Americas and includes eight distinct ecological zones. It protects more than 400 species of birds and over 100 species of mammals. In addition to the spectacular Resplendent Quetzal, you may see the endangered Bellbird, or Emerald Toucanet. There are also 30 species of hummingbirds."

Bravo Paul pour avoir su capter cette atmosphère très particulière, cette humidité transparait dans ta photo.
Cela me rappelle une marche dans le reste d'une forêt primaire à Bali, la végétation était superbe comme ici !

Amazing image of the rain forest of Costa Rica. I was intending to go there, but never happened.
The filtered light make such wonderful diferent tones of green and result on a marvellous atmosphere. A superb imgage. Congratulations!

Really great shot, with nearby plants(especially the red ones-on the right side), with the fog, with the light,that makes the nearby plants clear/sharp, and gives the plants in the fog sth like glimmer. This scene is both reposeful and eery. Anyway, I like it, tfs. Regards..

C'es come si la foret nous entourne! J'aime la facon qui tu a saisi la brume, on peut presque sentir l'humidite typique de ces forets tropicaux. Belle composition. Je trouve dificille de fotografier le forets de facon a avoir une composition assez atirante. Tres bine reussi. Vraiment manifique!

Alors de retour? Pour combien de temps cette fois? ;-)
Une belle première image de la forêt vierge (brrrr, il doit y avoir plein de bébêtes à six et huit pattes là dedans!). On sent bien l'humidité et l'ambiance de la forêt en regardant cette photo. Le 20D n'a pas trop souffert de l'humidité?

Allo Paul!
Ça prend des événements tels que le retour de Pablo sur TE pour me faire sortir de ma propre caverne! lols! Quelle végétation luxuriante, foisonnante et chaotique! C'est une photo qui fait appel à tous mes sens. La vue en premier lieu, de toute évidence, avec ce mélange parfaitement dosé de lumière étrange et d'ombre inquiétante. Mais aussi le nez (ça sent l'humide de la végétation) et l'ouïe (il devait y avoir toutes sortes de sons, à moins qu'il ne s'agisse d'une forêt enchantée!). Et puis, comment ne pas être "touchée" par ces mousses et ces feuillages qui encombrent la voie? Bon, le goût, ça j'avoue que je n'oserais pas!
Bravo Paul pour cette image que j'adore pour l'atmosphère qui y règne!

Tarzan traverserait l'image en poussant son crio célèbre que cela n'étonnerait personne !
Quell qualité de restitution, détailsd couleurs profondeur et reliefs.
En oplus l'image est bien composée avec l'encadrement naturel des arbres et la fenêtre brumeuse type clairière.
Beau travail, c'est une belle photo.

en tout cas sur la photo on voit que ca doit changer pas mal du Quebec, tous ces verts ca donne le tournis, j'aime aussi beaucoup la lumiere diffuse et ces lianes, j'adhere au commentaire de JM manque plus que Tarzan ici !
Je vois que tu es tres occupe... full time au carnaval de Quebec ? ;-)

mi amigo ... this photo reminds of the poster of the rainforest that i used to have in my room during the college years ... it would not be an understatement if I were to say that this is the best photo of the rain forest that I have seen by the amateur photographer ..... maybe we should start calling you a professional photographer now. ;-))
Bravo Paul ... i am very impressed by your last few photographs .. and this photo definitely has a league of its own .... this photo is going straight to my favourites.
I like this photo not only because of the warm and mystical atmosphere you have captured in it and your very good composition ... i like this photo also becuase of its educational value ... very well done mi amigo

Bonjour Paul,
Je viens de découvrir cette magnifique symphonie en vert, ainsi que toutes les autres photos, elles sont toutes superbes. Je suis allée au Québec en 2004 et reconnu différents endroits à une saison différente.
Dans cette dernière, on ressent bien l'atmosphère humide de la forêt vierge. Bien cadrée avec les arbres du premier plan et si nette.

J'ai visionné un des trois volets de Jurassic Park hier soir et cette superbe image m'en rappelle les décors.
J'aime bien l'atmosphère que se dégage de cette forêt humide. Les couleurs et la luminosité sont très agréables.
