Baracoa, Cuba...

Baracoa is a lovely city in Guantánamo Province near the eastern tip of Cuba. It was founded by the first governor of Cuba, the Spanish conquistador Diego Velázquez de Cuéllar in 1511. It is the oldest Spanish settlement in Cuba.

Baracoa is located on the spot where Christopher Columbus landed in Cuba on his first voyage. It is thought that the name stems from the indigenous Arauaca language word meaning "the presence of the sea."

Columbus was so impressed by the beauty of Baracoa that he described it in his logbook as "the most beautiful place in the world... I heard the birds sing that they will never ever leave this place..."

Hello Erdem,

I like this one, it tells me you are creative and with a good eye for details!
The message comes through loud and clear, expressed by shoes, very original...
Maybe I'd try a wider DoF since they both are of equal value in the comparison..?

A thoughtful and telling picture with strong emotional overtone. I really like this image for its simplicity the position of the figures & the natural light is spot on. Having read the description we can all imagine at least the real situation. Sadly the shallow dof has put the poor leg, also a vital element, out of context which actually requires equally attention and focus. TFS
