Photographer's Note
The kind of photos I don't usually publish on TE, but that I enjoy to create very much. Street shots of everyday life, no interaction, no frill, just documenting the way people live and showing it in the most authentic manner, with only light and composition in mind.
Walking around any of the Cuban neighborhoods, you would certainly find a noisy group of a contagious joy, placed around a table with four rustic chairs or simple boxes, and people playing their preferred game: the dominos.

Hi dear Andre
I know exactly what you mean when you say this is not the type of photo you normally publish but you have alot of fun creating them. This is alot of fun to look at. I love photos of old guys playing their games, the atmosphere is palpable and I bet you had a great chat with them. Excellent candid photography, never easy to do, but well composed considering the circumstances and well realised.
Have a great weekend, thanks for sharing

Hello Andre.
I wish you presented more of this calibre as it is really interesting to see how "they do it in Cuba", and compare with the ones I find around in Portugal.
As in Portugal, also in Cuba there are the outsider giving their opinions as it seems to be the case of the guy in the stripped polo.
The man entering the seen on FG is crucial to close that side and forces us to look at the action.
Cheers.

Hello Andre,
This is just the type of photography that I enjoy looking at (and taking). Typically Cuban in subject and atmosphere - I remember two years seing Dominoes being played in the street. Wonderful exposure and crispness. Fabulous!

Hi Andre,
What a great perspective you present here, these games with old men are ubiquitous the world over (I have seen in places as different as Korea and France for example) and it is great to see this in Cuba.
I liie the man entering the frame to our left, it give the scene some movement. I like the colour tones, balanced and muted with the shadows. Perhaps in some parts the image is a little over-sharpened.
Cheers

Hello André,
This is a wonderful candid shot, very well composed despite obviously having had to have been taken in a hurry. Clearly the subjects did not object to being photographed and they are all fully absorbed in playing or watching the Dominoes.
Excellent lighting, perfect exposure in less than ideal circumstances and wonderful colours and sharpness.
Fabulous!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello Andre
This is a kind shot, a gentle observation, the kind I really like (but don't manage to pull off that often). Many great presences here. Only the red logo near the man's mouth is a bit distraction (but then - I know - I'm being very picky...) - superb colours and light too. Especially the wall in the bg is very good too. Wonderful picture, tfs!
Benny
