Photographer's Note

Trinidad is a world heritage and surely one of the most beautiful towns in Cuba, and one of the most visited also. The old centre is formed by many old streets of colourful colonial buildings and pavement of old and irregular cobblestones. Once again, it is like travelling back in time, especially if we dare to discover the little streets where the tour groups rarely go.

Here we have a street that is not so close to Plaza Mayor. We may find a couple of tourists, but not the crowds we find in the centre and there are no souvenir shops.

haha....i knew this was trinidad even before I looked at the name above the photo.
I think i even photographed the same bike haha.
some things never change around here.
love these types of scenes, casual daily life, slowly ticking of the hours and minutes.
lovely shot with the included rock street.

Oi Ana,
The young guy at the door gave you an inquisitive look, but this also added life to the scene.
Surely not a neighborhood on the regular tourists route. The cobblestones road contrast the old / decayed yellow facade paint.

The atmosphere of Trinidad is well shown here. Beautiful old wall, the place a bit off the main route of tourists. Beautiful cobblestones. Superb casual scene.

Hello Ana,
Getting away from the areas most crowded with tourists is always the real pleasure of any visit anywhere and usually bring the best photos. This is a very fine shot. The building is not exactly beautiful, but it's easy to imagine how nice it must have looked once upon a time when it was still kept in a good shape. The young man is the obvious star of the photo and the bike is another fine element. But most of all I enjoy the colours and the texture of the wall and I have to pay you my compliments for a very neat and careful PP.

J'aime beaucoup la construction de cette image. Très belle ligne de fuite avec plein de textures sur les murs jaunes et usés de cette maison. Deux éléments se distinguent. Le jeune homme et la bicyclette.

I love the colours and textures here which add great character to the scene. Of course the bike and the man in the doorway finish it off so well. I like your angle of view to add perspective and a diagonal in the composition which is pleasing. Looks like a very photogenic place.

I like the way you set the perspective, isolating this part of the neighbourhood but giving it an impression of dynamism and continuity too. The architecture, the colours and the textures tell us a lot about the past and present of this place, the young man and the bicycle represent daily life and the blue colour establishes a strong connection between them. I'm sorry I missed this one when you posted it. I love the elegant composition, very thirdsy, and also the even light which has given you slightly muted colours which you've very sensibly resisted over-saturating! Away from the crowds you have discovered a lovely shot: nothing fancy or spectacular, just a young lad and a bicycle. My sort of photography.
