Photographer's Note

Another shot from the wonderful ACP Festival last week. This couple of percussionists are also part of the Mauritius band that performed that night at Plaza España. You can see the Columbus Alcázar in the background...

There is a common link between the music of Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific: percussion. The sound that comes from the very skin of domestic animals as the goats and the cows.

Here the guys were performing an intrincated solo while the lead singer take a short rest. The guy in the red jacket was a show by himself as he moved and clapped his hands vigorously making the audience roar.

I hope this festival returns next year. I truly enjoyed it, and I blame myself for being unable to attend more nights. What a great experience!

Technical: Shooted with ISO 1600, rotated to the left to add some dynamism, cropped out some portions, framed, shared.
