Photographer's Note

This is a shot of a hot spring source near Copan. It originates in a beautiful forest, high on a steep incline one has to ascend in order to get to it. The steaming, hot water then travels through a vast system of runouts to coalesce at the base of the incline, and dumps out into a shallow, rocky, mountain stream. The hot spring water enters the river just before a little cove, cut off by rocks from all directions aside from the on-coming water flow, and one is able to control the mixture of the hot spring and the cold stream water by adjusting the hot water flow by stacking rocks. It is a natural, thermally controlled spa...simply amazing :) (the light rays are illuminating the thick steam from the spring source, hence giving them such form)
