To cross the Vivari strait on road No. SH81 you will have to use the small cable Ferry. Vivari strait is the Connection between Ionian Sea and Lake Butrint.

Fine framing and good reflections. A good slice of life on the road in Albania, a country that's quite unknown to me, but your picture has just moved the country up my list of places I'd love to visit.

Look so calm!
Great to see that ferrying system is still in use there, i guess this must be a rare sight but it makes an interesting part of everyday life. Compo is always supreme, elements are cleverly laid out and richness in color with excellent reflections are the strong keys to this successful picture.

PS I had the same experience in 2003 on this type of cable ferry pulled manually across Breede river in Western Cape, South Africa.
