Photographer's Note

I have made this photograph in the Crypte under St-Baafs the cathedral in Ghent. It's very difficult a photograph without people, take because this Crypte is very visited. I find this a fantastic architecture photograph with cross vault.

The crypt contains two aisles from the Romanesque church of the 12th century and these still stand out clearly. The present Gothic aisles and the other chapels date from the 14th and 15th centuries. The wall paintings are from the 15th and 16th centuries.
