I found these picture to my archive taken 2007 July.
Beautiful place, also a very nice park around this castle

History:
The Castle of Loppem is situated in the town of Loppem in the municipality of Zedelgem, near Bruges in the Flemish Region of Belgium.

It was built between 1859 and 1862 for Baron Charles van Caloen and his family after the designs of E.W. Pugin and Jean-Baptiste de Béthune and is considered a masterpiece of civil Gothic Revival architecture.

Although it is not - like the proprietors claim on their website - the only castle in Belgium to have preserved its original architecture and interior decoration, it is indeed remarkably well preserved since the 19th-century. The castle has a richly decorated and furnished interior, and houses a collection of works of art, such as paintings, stained glass, statues. The castle is surrounded by a romantic park with ponds and a maze.

Wat een prachtige foto met zulke aantrekkelijke kleuren! Het is vooral mooi om te zien hoe het kasteel met zijn warme tinten wordt omgeven door enerzijds blauwe en anderzijds groene kleuren. De spiegeling in het rimpelloze water is ook heel mooi. Bedankt!

Dag John,
Het kasteel wordt in de vijver bijna perfect weerspiegeld. Ook het beeld van het groen en de lucht met wolken in het water zorgt ervoor dat je de foto 180 graden kan omdraaien. Wat ik ook prachtig vind, is het feit dat je in het groen heel veel diverse tinten en vormen vindt die afwisseling bieden aan het grote deel dat de bomen en hun weerspiegeling op de foto innemen.
Gelukkig is deze foto uit je archief opgedoken.

Hi John,

The mirror effect on the water of the lake is an asset to the composition. The trees are framing well the lake and the castle. The point of view leads our eyes toward the castle which is giving depth to the photo. The light is well managed, it is enhancing the colors. Have a good weekend.

Ce château n'est qu'un détail dans cette image mais il est accompagné par son reflet qui donne une belle allure à cette image. Je regrette son positionnement presque centré. L'image perd un peu de dynamisme.
Sinon, l'idée est très bonne.

The first time that I've looked at your photos - a great display, especially of Belgium, and makes me wish I'd spent longer in belgium when I was there recently. Great POV and making good use of the reflections. Colours are bright and the whole thing is crisp and sharp. Worth setting up the tripod!

Eentje uit de oude doos, maar wel een hele mooie.
Naar het zich laat aanzien weinig bewerking nodig gehad gezien de weer en licht omstandigheden.
Mooie reflectie ook. Misschien had je iets meer kunnen verscherpen (op het kasteel) met je camera of post productie.

Compositionally, I would have like to zoom in just a little more and off center the castle to the right and less water and more beautiful sky. I guess that is just different preference.
