Second picture of the seems rea

This Saturday morning, I was back one bike ride make direction Damme and Oostkerke. The lockdown was hardly anyone can be seen on the road, but cycling is allowed, so no offense for me.

History of the bridge with the Damse canal.

This would once have been a port during Napoleon
There is nothing left of this old port here, but history has written its part here.
Monnikerede was a small port town in the north of the Belgian province of West Flanders, on the territory of Oostkerke, of which it was a hamlet. It was where the Damse Vaart runs today, between the Oostkerkebrug and the bend to Hoeke.

Hello John,
There is a very nice view across the canal, especially of the neat little brick house between the trees. The bridge and the railing lead my eyes across the water and provide some depth even to this short distance. As usual the Belgian canals create fine reflections. There is a very pleasant light under the light clouds.

Hello John,

How things change, when you consider that this, tranquil place would once have been a port!

The bridge makes a very effective lead across the water towards the pretty, warm coloured house.
Because of your well chosen viewpoint, you have been able to include the reflections of the bridge and the railings patterns, as well as the vegetation and houses on the far bank.
The light is soft and really well controlled in your beautifully exposed photograph.

lovely spot along your bike route.
The sky relatively cloudy but you processed the photo well and the result is very bright and colorful. The water aspects allows some reflections. I like also the vegetation in the foreground.

Hallo John,
De brug en de reling leiden ons mooi naar de huizen aan de overzijde terwijl het riet vooraan ook mee helpt de foto meer diepte te geven.
De rode bakstenen gevel en de rode daken springen in het oog tegenover de grijze wolkenlucht achteraan.
Mooie weerspiegelingen in het kanaal.
