Every day I am looking with my bike, to make a good photo for members of TE.
This photo was several carriages together, but I tried with my new portrait lens, (Canon Lens EF 85 1:1.2 L II USM) to focus on the first carriage

9th Luxury Autumn Rally

Dear drivers,

You are kindly invited to our 9th Luxury Autumn Rally in Knokke-Heist.

There is a free start between 10:00 and 11:30 from the picturesque polder village of Ramskapelle, from here you can enjoy this rally at your own pace based on the signage and / or route description.
On the course we provide three extra well-maintained stops, an aperitif on the beach / seawall, a second one near the Zwin nature reserve, where we indulge the inner man in the afternoon with a lot of goodies and then a third with coffee, cake and a heart warmer.
After a ride of about 33 km you can enjoy a delicious meal (without obligation)

Hallo John,
Een mooie foto van dit lange pad en de rij paard-en-wagens die deze kant op komt. Ik zie veel lachende gezichten, de mensen genoten duidelijk van de mooie dag. De bomen op de achtergrond laten al wat herfstkleuren zien.

Hallo John,
Ik denk dat je niet anders kan dan scherp stellen op de eerste van de rij paardenkoetsen.
Echt heel veel tijd daarvoor heb je ook niet bij een naderend paard of koets.
Heel mooi gedaan met de lange door bomen omzoomde weg.
Ik zie dat er reeds een aantal herfstblaadjes ronddwarrelen.
Mooie compositie.

Lep pogled i trenutak, interesantan tekst ...
Lepi konji i kocije, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom.
Lepo mesto sa drvoredom za voznju.
Dobar tekst o koriscenoj tehnici i elementima snimka.
Opalo lisce najvaljivalo je jesen.

Hello John,
They all seem to enjoy the ride and they are happy to see you taking a photo. It's a nice scenery for a quiet horse ride and the photo is well composed with a fine diagonal and perfect sharpness on the nearest carriage.

As requested by you, I can not comment the outcome at EV 3.5 of your new expensive lens because I have no comparison with another brand of 85mm F 1.2.
Nevertheless I can tell about the outstanding resolution on the first carriage of this recreative cortege parading in a magnificent scenery.

Terrific capture of these horse carriages in convoy, a great focus and playing around with shallow depth of field. Lovely the way they fade out of focus.accentuating the sense of depth.

Hello John,

This is a delightful shot.
It feels that you have brought us right up close to the leading horse, so close that we could almost stroke it!
Though the horses and carriages are moving, the details are really crisp.
As always, your composition is first rate, producing an excellent sense of perspective and depth.

Hi John,
great use of the lens. I got 50mm 1:1.4 but I always struggle to use it correctly. The depth of the field is always too shallow for me.
Here you have used it perfectly. The first carriage is crispy sharp while the following ones are just a repeatiton of the theme so it is good that they are subtly out of focus.

It seems that this Rally proposes an interesting program, a very nice photo with the carriages, everyone looks very happy, the first float shows great detail.
