This cross commemorates the death of Mrs. Victoire De Behr, spouse of Knight De Behr de Haut-Marais, who had a riding accident at this spot on October 16th, 1819.

Right up to this moment, flowers are frequently placed at the foot of the cross.

Hi Frans,

Thoughtful image .. thoughtful tone .. this is a place that would be evocative in different ways in every season .. the leafless trees really add to the mood.
