The Knee of Salvador Dali

One of the famous typical Salvatore Dali figures is > the elephant on high legs

On the Liege-Exhibition these legs were used on several places.
This picture is from a dark room were the ceiling was supported by a number of these legs.
The mysterious lightning in the room made it possible for me to create this “Artist Impression” of one of the knees of a Dali-Elephant.

De dunne olifantspoten zijn met zeer veel gevoel voor detail gemaakt en dat laat deze foto des te beter zien. Het warme licht contrasteert mooi met de donkere achtergrond en de blauwe cirkel.

Maybe this is not the most colourful photo of the day but it will be hard to beat as the most eye-catching. It's simple and elegant and very well composed. I like how the area to the left of the leg is dark blue and on the other side black.

Unless your written title I'd be sure its a history-museum exhibition, Rob.

I like how you isolated the "endless" leg and included the blue circle to challenge it in a playful way. I also like the light and shadows on the leg as well as the tonal difference on either side. This is very unusual photo as all Dali's art. I was in Catalonia and Andorra, where we have seen a lot of works of Salvatore. Good presentation of the famous artwork.

Greetings Rob,

I think this is my favourite of your Salvador Dali body parts. When photographing artwork, one needs to move away from the postcard approach and interpret the work to produce one's own work of art. The blue spot of light is what 'makes' this shot - especially when contrasted with the dark black background to the right of the knees and the complimentary bluer hue to the left. very nice this detail of the famous knee, here you show the area like a piece of art by itself. nice image using the blue spot and the textures of the leg. TFS, a good photographer can create a new element of art using others..
