Moerkerke, 10 km of Bruges and 10 km of the Belgian coast

During my cycling trip I saw this nice old car.
I took this picture in panning. Number 5

The 2021 edition is the year of brave choices for Zoute Grand Prix, which gives a completely different interpretation to its events. Zoute Grand Prix in the past attracted more than 300,000 visitors to the Belgian coast during an October weekend. Zoute Grand Prix spreads the visitors through a different arrangement of the events.

For example, the GT Tour, with modern GT and sports cars, will have Ghent, Bruges and Ostend as anchor points this year. The classic old-timer rally of the Zoute Grand Prix will remain based in Knokke, where the starting podium returns to Albertstrand after a year of absence.

Touring vs Regularity
The Zoute Rally, organized on 7, 8 and 9 October 2021, intended for classics registered between 1 January 1920 and 31 December 1965, forms the backbone of the Zoute Grand Prix. Unlike the GT Tour, which from now on will start in Ghent, the Zoute Rally will start in Knokke itself. The pilots are given a nice course through Flanders and the Dutch polders.

Zoute Grand Prix has two formulas. In "Touring" the participants stick to a three-day ride, in "Regularity" they take part in a timed regularity rally with agility tests and route – with the speed test described as "Flying Quarter Mile" as the icing on the tail.

Hallo John,
Een mooie foto van dit smalle weggetje waar de oldtimer over komt aangesneld. Het landschap heeft een mooie afwisseling van velden en bomen en is een uitstekende achtergrond.

Lep pogled i trenutak, interesantan i dobar tekst ...
Lep stari automobil zelenilo pored puta i drvece u pozadini, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uvacenim trenutkom sa oblacima koji dolaze i najavljuju promenu vremena.
Dobar rad, lepa fotografija.
Lepa scena na putu sa sportskim automobilom.

Hello John,
The car is very elegant, but I wonder what kind of uniform the persons in the front seat are wearing. I hope they didn't object that you (probably) took the photo without asking for their permission. The photo is well taken, with good depth created by the straight road. An enlarged view reveals cows grazing quietly in the background.

Hallo John,
Je hebt tijdens dit event geen gelegenheid onbenut gelaten om oldtimers te fotograferen.
Het is altijd verbazend om dergelijke blinkende dure wagen op zo'n smalle baan tussen de velden te zien rijden.
Prachtige foto met een goede compositie en uitstekend perspectief.

Hi John,

The length of the road is giving depth and perspective to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of a 1959 or 1960 Jaguar XK150. The colors and the sharpness are very good. Have a nice day.

Hello John,

This is a fine, probably unplanned photograph!
The sports car is really sharp, heading towards the camera and still in a strong position compositionally.
I like how the receding road creates a good sense of perspective.
The surrounding countryside is useful as a setting, yet takes no attention from the important, focal car.

The road adds deep linear perspective with the converging lines meeting at the bg vanishing point. The lone vintage car gives a superb focal point Tfs!

Hi John,
Great shot of this classic Jaguar coming towards you. Straight and narrow road creates strong perspective. Very nice rural landscape too. Pierre's guess was XK150. After a Wikipedia search and based on that windscreen I'd guess a little older model, XK140 (1954-1957).
