Musical Evenings in St. Donatus, a photo from Zadarska Zupanija, Coast

Photographer's Note

Since I've spent my summer holiday in Zadar in Croatia, I feel I should show a piece of the beauty of this part of Dalmatia...
I'm not so keen on telling historical stories of how this church was built or where its' name came from, so u can read those kind of stuff right here.

It was the first night when we arrived in Zadar and as I was walking along the streets of this old part of the town, I was so happy to find out that some musical evenings were starting that night in an open space in front of this beautiful church. A whole set of classical musicians played many famous classical music compositions.

I wasn't using a tripod simply because I still dont have any. There are lots of old ruins around the church, so I put my camera on the highest pillar and made couple of shots with some difficulties. Many photographers followed my example of using that pillar instead of a tripod and soon there was a row of photographers behind me waiting to take some shots...that was pretty funny to see.

I'm devoting this pic to Daddo who is also a TE member and whose roots came from this part of Croatia.

Well done for taking this without a tripod. Nice angle, and the people in the foreground add a lot of interest. And it looks like a nice place, too.

Wow, what a great shot! The exposure of this night shot is right on, showing the highlights well with nothing blown out, and also showing that little bit of colour in the sky that makes this more interesting. Great building too, very interesting to see. Well done!

Zdravo Gordana.Gledam ubavo si prosetala a veruvam i ubavo si pominala.Prekrasna nokna slika na koja e opfatena cela crkva so se kambanarija i so se publika.Sigurno si pomina edna ubava muzicka vecer.

Ubav ambient imas doloveno na ovaa slika Gordana.Boite se odlicno izvadeni.Plaviot ton na neboto od levata strana samo ja zbogatuva koloritnosta ovde, a zaedno so svetlinata od kambanerijata izgleda toa tolku kompaktno.Mozebi bi bilo uste pointeresno koga agolot na slikanje bi bil mnogu povisok, kade sto ke mozea da dojdat do izraz muzicarite, no pretpostavuvam toa bilo nevozmozno.Covekot verojatno sto slika vo leviot agol ni dava odlicen razmer i ispolnetost.
Ramkata kako sto veli nekoj od komentarite - apsolutno so prefinet vkus, vo tvoj stil da recam :)

why did you you say you can't make good night shots?? This is a great one, the light is very good and what I specially like here is the line of the people at the bottom with the one guy standing up and taking a picture. Very well done, thanks for sharing.
