Plitvice Boardwalk, a photo from Licko-Senjska, Coast

Photographer's Note

This is one of the last shots I took at Plitvice before returning to the carpark for the 200 km bus trip back to Split. The boardwalk leads to the base of Veliki Slap (Grand Falls) and another cascade in an adjacent side gorge. This area is pristine and no swimming or littering is allowed. With over a million visitors each year, that's a good thing.

Plitvice is high on my lists of favourite places visited and this is a good memory triggering photo. A good photo of the walkway appearing out of the dark shadow.

Hello Chris,
Superb view from above. The boardwalk makes an elegant curve whose beauty is probably not much noticed by the people walking on it, but it is obvious from this angle. Possibly the water doesn't make the same impression of turquoise to those down there, but to us it makes a perfect complement to the many trees. The long line of persons enliven this attractive view which you captured with perfect sharpness.

last but not least.
Beautiful view!
I intended to get there but on the day it was raining so much that I gave up.
Well I have a reason to return to this beautiful country and actually I hope to do it next year.

Brilliant composition with the boardwalk making such a nice curve in the natural setting.
The shadows of the tourists look quite nice as well.

Hello Chris,

It's a good vantage point, allowing us to understand the pathway across the river as it curves elegantly around the trees.
There is a definite churning of the water entering the frame and white plumes can be seen over the rocks.

How good that no litter is allowed.
I wonder how that is controlled because litter isn't really allowed anywhere.

La longueur de la promenade donne de la promenade donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la promenade en bois et des arbres. La lumière fait ressortir les couleurs. Bonne journée.

Tu as un très belle vue en plongée sur ce beau trottoir qui serpente comme si il flottait à la surface du plan d'eau qui est d'un très belle couleur.

Hello Chris,
The sunlight was so beautiful and bright and the many shades of green combined with some more bluish tones look fantastic as a result. The boardwalk runs very nicely through the centre and is well seen from this high vantage point.
