Photographer's Note

The only problem with swimming here are the large ferries plying up and down the channel, which generate mini tsunamis that flood the beach. It's still a nice way to spend an hour or 2 on a hot summer's day, though. The old walled town is about 500 metres to the right. In the bg is the mainland.

Chris, the rocky coast isn t the most confortable to relax. I suppose the sea floor is sandy where the three persons are bathing. The mountain forms a splendid background. I like the different green in this photo. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hello Chris,
The picture shows well how I remember many beaches in Croatia.
Very few sandy beaches. Nevertheless, the Croatian coastline is one of the most beautiful in Europe for me.
Superb colours! Well composed.
Impressive with the steep mountain slopes near the waterfront.

Hello Chris
It might be a bit tricky to get into the water without hurting your feet, but once inside the water look great. It could also be a fine place just to enjoy the sun. Or a place to visit for taking photos. The colours are wonderful, not just the sea but also of the mountain where vegetation goes more than halfway to the peak. It's a fine photo with a nice inclusion of people, good light and sharpness too.

We get almost no information of the earthquake around Izmir!
I se no ferry, also no tsunami, but a quiet place for a pleasant afternoon with family.
You create a nice wide panorama image with the river and big mountain in background.
An excellent composition.

Hello Chris,
The view across the deep blue water is amazing and the mountains make a great backdrop with a nice mix of green and grey parts. The small rocks in the foreground where people were enjoying the fine day is very well included too.

Hello Chris,

There is such a good view of the channel that, I suppose, bathers have plenty of time to get out of the water before the wave reaches them.

This is a fine photograph, revealing the clear, azure water off the coast of Croatia, neatly edged by the cliffs and rocky beach.
There is quite a choice here, to swim or to explore.

Hello Chris, I wouldn't mind spending there an hour or two swimming in these emerald warm waters. As I remember, the Adriatic sea is so salty, that you can float without any effort. Charming composition.

Hi Chris,
I didn't have a chance yet to explore the beautiful Croatian islands. There is so much to see and photograph there indeed. I feel like I can come back there many times still have plenty to discover.
I like very much the well saturated natural colors here.
Again some people but not too many -just enough to decorate the view.
The mountains look very impressive across the sea.
