Photographer's Note

Nove Mesto nad Metuji is a town in northern Czech Republic, near the border with Poland.
The town was founded in 1501 by the owner of these lands Jan Cerncicky from Kacov. In the great fire of 1526, wooden houses burnt down and the new owner Adalbert of Pernstejn brought architects from Italy and commissioned the rebuilding of the town in the Renaissance style.
Until the 18th century, Nove Mesto was the most important center of the region and, in turn, was owned by many noble families. In 1908, textile industrialist Josef Barton bought the town and surrounding lands, in 1945 Nove Mesto became state-owned property.

In my picture (taken from the castle tower) you can see the main square of the town and the church of the Holy Trinity from the 16th century.

A neat looking town showing its well preserved architectural style and very well blended into the natural green environment. I love how the church tower ensures a firm focus of attention and good use of the arch as natural frame giving this a more balanced composition. Everything is crisp and sharp, beautiful colour rendering and that lighting is subtle. An appealing capture and tfs.
