Photographer's Note
The wind-blown west coast with its white dunes contrasts sharply with the soft contours of the Limfjord. The hilly landscape, carved by the last Ice Age, clashes with the flat stretches of heath and the silence of the countryside. This silence is the diametric opposite of the pulsating life in the towns of the region.
North-west Jutland is an area packed with contrasts – and just as many opportunities. Bring your beach clothes in the summer and pack your warm sweaters in the winter – the sea and fjord are equally delightful in both seasons.
“Tight lines!” – that is how to wish a sports angler the best of luck. The region is scattered with excellent fishing spots, so landing a catch or two should not present a problem. Pit your strength against the waves of the North Sea and catch mackerel
Explore North-west Jutland and discover art, culture and history at their impressive best, I do love the atmosphere, and do often walk between boats and lystfiskere, and the resident fisherman who have those that kind of career; job.
I hope you en'joy my pic, and can smeel some fresh air:-))

Hi Kaj!
Yes, I can smell the fresh air, thanks!
What a different picture from you, but there is the boat!
I like it very much, especially the compo and the colors, the orange overalls of the fishman and the soft blue of the boat. Very well done!

Very-very well composed shot. I like the way the frame is filled by different elements. Interesting mix of blue and red colors. Great atmosphere, too.
I don´t like the color of theframe – and I think the image needs some minor adjustments (adding contrast etc.) in PS.
Great work in any case, Kaj.

Wonderful composition with a close up this time, Kaj! :-) You just inspired me for my next shot I will upload tomorrow - another fisherman, working in his boat, but in Balchik...;-)
Here you captured so very well the working mood of the man, the nautical details and their fine textures and all this - presented in lovely composed colours and light. The ruffled sea wave at background brings a lot of romantic to the atmosphere. Excellent job! :-)

Very nicely composed portrait. He looks like he was born with the sea in his blood. Nice the way you've caught the consentration in his face.

I am always admiring when I see disentangled sailors their net, it is necessary to have fingers of fairy. Here, the man has large gloves what must make the task even more difficult.
Very beautiful catch of sight Kaj. The colors, the composition, all is very good.
Very well done.

He seems an authoritative guy in his profession. He can also smoke with those gloves and in the same time unbridle that irksome net. Very good daily life picture. Notes really inviting.

I enjoy it very much, your first people shot that looks really candid, very good, his orange clothes against the pale blue boat ( you did still manage to get a boat in the picture :o) looks great. Good cropping too.

Bravo !

Fantastic colours, Kaj, and fantastic cropping. You really moved in on this subject and thereby made the presentation much stronger. And yes, I can smell the salty air. The small wave in the background adds a special touch that you would normally only find in paintings - where it can be added at will.

Hi Kaj
You not only got the eye for sunset and boats - you surely got it for interesting people and compositions ;-)
I like the Hammer as foreground and the different objects behind - (for eksempel rødkåls spanden)
Great work indeed - thanks for sharing this "landed boat with owner" ;-))
