Photographer's Note
I just came home from a few holidays at the eastern end of Denmark – Let me put it this way, we where lucky – not much rain these days ;-) but I missed the sun, for my photos :-(
Moens clack cliff (Møns klint) a must if you visit this part of Denmark. For 75 mill years these chalk cliffs where created as the bottom of the sea – but during the last ice age it raised to a height of over 125 meters. There’s not many places in Denmark where you get this feeling of height, get you fitness tested and get an impressive view at the same time. The fitness test comes if you want to visit the beach and use the 586 steps (the staircase can be seen in the lower left corner and here)
I was hoping to get a photo of the cliff in the light of the rising sun – hmm – but the exercise did me good.
Second note! - May be I should add - theres a relative large tree at my left side and I'm standing behind a fence - I'm not a daredevil ;-))
Please take a look at this fine photo from Jack (jrj)

Here comes a first holliday capture! :-) Very nice view, clean and sharp photograph Jeppe. Angle of pic is fine and contrasted rock and greeny leaves are really beautiful. It was not too dangerous standing there...?
Regards, Don.

Well never mind the lack of sun, the cliff is still magnificent ;o) You have loads of details and the colours are good. I really like this classic inscription, probably from a 14 year old boy's pocket knife on the right side tree ;o)

I agree with Line, this looks good even without the sun. I had no idea that there where features like this in Denmark.

Wow, great shot. Rocks and green. :o) Beautiful. Nice and sharp too. :o) But Don is right, isn't it dangerous to stand there?
Well done. :o)

A very interesting capture. I don't like heights, either, but this was worth it. You have taken a nice colorful shot of this area, which makes me want to visit. Good Job, good color and DOF.

Welcome back, Jeppe. Very good perspective along this impressive chalk cliff out on the sea - its textures are very well rendered, and I like the way in which it makes this sort of giant stair from the water level up into the corner of your photo. Great colors, even more so in the weather you described.
Even with the clarification at the end of your note, this one still goes into the "Vertigo" theme ;-)

I didn't know there was such cliffs in Denmark. I think your country is very interesting to discover too... I like very much the PoV and the contrast between the white of the cliff and the dark green of the trees. Also, without the sun, you have very good colors. Very well done!

Beautiful cliff. I like the colour and the smothing surface. Good composition with this point terminated in the see.
Well done Jeppe.

This shows the height of these cliffs very clearly, great capture. I don't miss the sun too much since the slightly overcast sky gives such rich colors and tones. And the sharpness is an enjoyment by itself.

Hi Jeppe. This is stunning capture. The rocks look great and the contrast with the sea is lovely. The depth is so profound that Nobert rightly added it to the Vertigo theme ;-) Great job.

Nice capture. Actually, I think you get a better shot of this particular place with not too much sun on it - not the bright, over-exposed sight you might otherwise have been getting.
By Danish standards this is a very impressive height, indeed ;-))

Falaises très impressionnantes, il ne faut pas glisser, car la chute est certaine.
Une prise de vue à la hauteur ;-)
Superbe réalisation Jeppe.
Cliff very impressive, you should not slide, because the fall is sure.
A recording at the height;-)
Magnificent realization Jeppe.

Les falaises ici sont vraiment impressionantes et la presentation choisi donne et accentus plus cette sensation.
Parfaite maitrise de la lumiere et de l'exposition sur les parties sombres.
Bravo Jeppe et merci de la note trés interessante.

Good photo from Mons Klint Jeppe. Looks a bit daring, the shooting position, even with a fence around - there are still some warnings of eruption going on....

Der er højt ned:-)) Meget smukt billede, ikke noget at ændre her.
Det er et smukt stykke af Danmark, som jeg personligt ikke har set, siden vi gik på Industri og håndværker skolen på Falster.
Tak for kigget...........Kaj Nielsen

I have only seen now this shot of yours, Jeppe! It's a gorgeous view with excellent colours, sharpness and DOF. It reminds me my trip to Denmark some 12 years ago when I visited this great place.

Oh, don't exaggerate. You were lucky to find such scenery. Do not try too much, though. You may be less lucky next time at the edge of the cliff (easy to say, huh :-). Wishes, Tom.
