Photographer's Note

Louis Blériot (1872-1936) was a French aviation pioneer. In 1909 he achieved the first flight over a large body of water in a heavier-than-air craft when he crossed the English Channel.

This is a Finnish built replica of his Blériot XI model that was used on the record breaking flight. The plane rolled on the tarmac of Joensuu airport, but unfortunately we didn't see it flying.

Added contrast, desaturated and toned. Darkened corners to add vignetting.
