Le jardin de Diane

Ancien jardin réservé de la Reine, ce jardin était jusqu’au XIXe siècle fermé par des bâtiments dont la destruction, suivie de l’achat d’une bande de terrain complémentaire, a permis l’agrandissement du côté de la ville. Paysager à l’Anglaise, il tire son nom d’une fontaine créée sous Henri IV et ornée d’une statue de Diane.

A beautiful balanced façade with good varied materials used and attractive ornaments and also a few nice reflections.
Nice addition of the two pausing workmen who are probably working on the right side.

J'apprécie les reflets sur les vitres. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de cette partie du château de Fontainebleau. La lumière rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Bonjour Philippe,

You have captured some excellent details of this building, showing its architectural decorations and its statues.
I wonder if there were ever statues in those niches at the first floor level!
The dappled light over the lawn is an interesting prelude.

Those workmen, who seem to have a lot of materials and scaffolding to the right, appear to be taking a break and give a relaxed ambience to the scene.

quelle iamge et vue avec ces deux ersonnage en fond cette partie vert un très beau jardin avec ce jeu d'ombre sur l'herbe ces refles dans les vitres et quel édifices et ensemble superbe

Bonjour Philippe,

Le contremaitre est hors de vue, donc les employés se la coulent douce en attendant. Dommage que ta visite ait eu lieu lors des rénovations . Les échafauds sont vraiment nuisibles au choix du cadrage.

The precious sunlight created an attractive image holding it together and a real feel of the grand scale of this solid building with aged beauty. The visitors give an idea of its size, it does look extremely inviting and lovely touch of green with the tree branches create a place for the eye to come to rest on. A beautiful view from these gardens and the grand architecture of the large house looks wonderful. The details are clearly seen even in the shadows and the windows add some attractive reflections to. The sidelight touched the colours of the trees appealingly.

Missed this one. I like the shadow play and dappled fg light on the green lawn. Good shadow detail and the 2 workmen add focal point. I like the ornate facade of the building. Tfs!

lovely place. I like the architecture and the setting. The construction elements add a realistic touch together with the workers having a rest.
The light was probably not optimal but the spot is very pretty,
I really have to revisit Fontainbleau someday,

Due riflessi molto diversi, ma entrambi belli e originali.

Hello Philippe,
This is a magnificent building, and when the restoration is finished all of it will look just as good. There are lots of fantastic details, and the two working men complement the two statues. There are nice reflections in the windows, especially those at the ground floor. Technically it is also a fine photo.
