Photographer's Note

Le bassin central fut orné en 1817 d'une vasque succédant à une fontaine en forme de rocher dite le « pot bouillant » qui existait à cet emplacement au xviie siècle. Clos de murs entre 1528 et 1533, Serlio avait imaginé pour ce jardin un pavillon d'agrément. Aménagé entre 1660 et 1664, il comportait des rinceaux formant les chiffres du roi Louis XIV et de la reine-mère Anne d'Autriche, qui disparurent au xviiie siècle.

L'étendue de l'étang donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue panoramique ou grande angle permet de voir beaucoup de détails du château de Fontainebleau. La qualité de la lumière embellit les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

We don't see the details of the castle, but this photo is mainly about colours and light and reflections. You used the castle well as a background to this wide and distant view.

Fontainebleau was one of my favourite day trips out of Paris. This is a good wide view, although I think I would have cropped out some of both the sky and water to make it look even more panoramic.

Bonjour Serge,
A beautiful overview of this perhaps most famous castle in the world. Here the buildings seem to be captured between a beautiful blue sky with light high clouds and the ripples of the water. A panorama format with more focus on the buildings was probably also fascinating here.

interessante punto di vista, il castello è sospeso tra acqua e cielo e non sembra così imponente, anche se si vede la grande estensione.
