Place Vendome, Paris is one of the most famous squares in the World.
Here you can find the boutiques of the most famous luxury firms in the World, and a lot of dull tourists sticked to the shop-windows peering at the same thing they can buy nearer home, careless of the great architecture of this square.

Hi Stefano
I like your point of view in your note. People really act strange when away from home; things they wouldn’t look at back at home are suddenly interesting!
Nice composition, the blue sky, the building around the square and the obelisk.

nice scene Stefano. great sky over a strangely empty square. The verticals are tilting though (you should watch out for pointing your cam up when shooting wide angle), and it's a bit distracting for this sort of image. Try to keep your cam perpendicular to the scene to avoid this.

He he he, now that I know where your wife goes shopping, I understand why you have not upgraded to a D2X and all those expensive Nikkor lenses ;-))
The view is nice, and a bit of vertical adjustment may help as vincent did, I like the no parking poles perspective complementing the street lamps one. What I dislike is the timing, you caught such a place with an overaged Citroen BX from the 9-3 as it seems, it should not have required too much waiting time to get a Rolls from the XVI th district or some Arab emirate, at least no longer than the time required by your wife to browse yet another jewellry shop ;-))

A very nice picture of the Place Vendôme, so famous for its luxury hotels and boutiques. The distortion due to the use of wide-angle enhances to impression of space here and the clouds in the sky are beautiful.

Ciao Stefano, I pretty like the result, sharp, well exposed, I like the composition but I wonder if it could be stronger with more elements in the foreground, like the car which is a little bit too far on the way here I think or someone laying against the very first post...
