Photographer's Note
Happy Earth Day
Headlands north of Porto from Capu D'Ortu (1300m. above the Mediterranean. The photo is average, but it took quite an effort to walk up there! Typically it takes 5-6 hours return, starting at 500m. in Piana. 2 liters of water are barely enough even in March. In summer, good luck. It's not a dangerous track, but very steep, well, at the summit it can be dangerous, especially if there is water on the rocks. It was worth it for the view. Closer view coming in workshop. The white sliver above the low cloud over the headland is the Alps, as seen from almost 200km. away!
14mm. focal length.
ND Grad filter used.
Loic (donluicu) asked for more photos from Corsica, so voila!

Hi Tan!
I really liked this picture!
I like photos taken from high spots like this one!
Then it has good colors and this rock at the foreground gives us the sense of depth in it!
It's also interesting that we almost can't notice the difference between the sky and the sea!
TFS - Congratulations!

You called it "average" but in my opinion the picture is very good. It has a great sense of depth/distance, very nice colours and a excellent view. It was worth the climb for be able this magnificent view. Thanks for sparing me the task of doing it myself!!!

You're right, it's not quite as appealing as your usual shots, mostly because the light is a bit too harsh and hey, I finally see that you, too, run into a tiny bit of haze every once in a while. In my opinion, the sky is slightly overpolarized. This being said, it's by no means a bad image, was very well composed and gives a good idea about the geography of Corse. I like the little clouds clinging onto the ridges in the distance.

It looks like you have been climbing a lot while this hollidays in Europe. Excelent DOF here, a photo that seems to be like a moment of a David Lean´s film. Somehow the landscape reminds me to Mallorca, and this is something extra for me. Take care!

Hi Tan
I like the sweeping curve(s) of the bay, the cobalt blue sea, & the marvellous high vantage point. Good sharpness. The rock at the top left, resembles a "thumbs up" sign. Tfs!

Hi Tan,
The good thing about Corsica is that with its spectacular west coastline it's not difficult to find the captain's pov, and it shows, the big curve starting from the foreground upper rock and continuing on to the far end is indeed highly spectacular, combo of pola and wide angle gave you some tone differences in the sky.
Have a nice day JY

Hi, Tan. Your point of view offers us a nice downward view on the rugged Corsican coastline. I also get an unmistakable feeling Corsica is an island when I look at your picture. The sea really surrounds everything here. I like the good contrast between the light-coloured rocks in the foreground and the deep blue of the sea. Even though they are barely visible I find it amazing to be able to see the Alps over the sea.

Hi Tan. Usually nothing worthwhile is easy! Just as well you’re lugging MF gear up the hill ;-). Great photo. I ‘m glad you included the WS’s to add context. Thanks for sharing.
