Carcassonne, the Jacobins gate.

The Jacobins gate is one of the four gate of the Saint-Louis fortified town, the lower-town (by opposition with the Cité, the castle which is the upper-town). This is the only gate nowadays preserved of the present centre of town.

On the background, the General de Gaulle square, esplanade where is set each year th big wheel, one of the attractions of the end of year animations.

PS : of course there is a lack of sharpness, I didn't have my tripod.
