Photographer's Note

Beauduc (Camargue) - Mai 2007

Beauduc (Camargue) - May 2007 - South of France
Here's the beginning of these enigmatic stones placed on wooden sticks. The Galabert pond which is usually very calm, is wavy under the assaults of the "Mistral"... the famous strong and cold wing blowing down the Rhone valley... and I can hardly remain squatted and still to press the trigger of my camera!

A nice week end to everyone!

PS: The ponds in this region are a kind of lakes close to sea, with salty water.
PS: The mystery of these stones has been solved by a TE member: this way of doing prevents the sticks to get destroyed too quickly by water infiltration from the top.
