Photographer's Note

Crow and corbels.

This crow seems to have taken root on the roof of the church of Maillezais in the Vendée.
The three sculptures, in architecture, are corbels, in fact of modillons (Wikipedia).
That of left is a barrel provided with a kind of handle. A little as the small cask which the Saint-Bernard for the helps in mountain in the popular imagery transports (what is completely inaccurate in reality).

This type of let us modillons are primarily in the Romanesque art. What I find fascinating there of it is the nonreligious, disrespectful, fantastic aspect to see ribald straightforwardly.

This type of POV taken with the vertical is allowed, without much material difficulty, thanks to the side bridge of the DSC F707 which I use several years.
