Photographer's Note

Soubran is a village and commune in South-West France in the département of Charente-Maritime.

In 2016 it had a population of 382. Unlike many French villages of a similar size it has managed to retain some local shops, notably a baker's, a butcher's, a post office, a bar/restaurant and a small grocery store. It also boasts the inevitable church, a mairie and a war memorial plus a school and a library.

What a lovely view very well composed with all perfect photo qualities. The white flowers stand out against the clear blue sky and cast a very pretty shadow pattern on the grass. The texture of the stonework and the accents of colours are equally attractive.

Les arbres en fleurs au printemps, je crois qu'il n'y a rien de plus beau. Le réveil de la nature à son meilleur. Une très belle cour bien entourée de jolies habitations.

It was such a beautiful day! The blossoming tree is gorgeous and you placed it really well on the left hand side. It also cast a nice pattern of shadows onto the grass. Super sharpness and clarity, too.
