Touffou Castle.

The castle of the 12th 14th 15th 16th centuries, dominates the valley of Vienne river, on its left bank.

The Castle whose construction extends from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, has a double keep of the 12th century.
It is flanked of two big towers: the Saint-Georges tower and the Hostellerie tower.

Three families had the castle of 1127 to 1821, in spite of the execution of one of the owners guillotined in 1794 during the French revolution. Five families will have it during the 19th century.
The Castle classified historic building since 1923, whose terraces are classified since 1994, belongs now to the widow of the American advertizing executive David Ogilvy.

Bonnes is a french commune, located in the department of Vienna of the Poitou-Charentes area, populated of 1475 Bonnois in 1999, distributed out of 35 km², that is to say 42 hab./km².

The urban area is quoted in 1173.
