Photographer's Note

Pointe Saint-Mathieu (Lok Maze in Breton) is a tip of Finistère nearby Conquet the territory of the commune of Plougonvelin. It is bordered by cliffs around 20 meters tall.
The first semaphore of the tip was built in 1806, but the current semaphore was erected on or near the peak in 1906, to have a view on the Channel Four as the entrance of Brest. Gradually improved in the twentieth century, it has now reached 39 meters in height above sea level
