14 july is the National day in France .... so, a photo with national colors of our flag, blue, white and red. Here a big sweet very french with these colors.
A sculpture made by the artist Laurence Jenkell, exposed the last month close to the beach in Arcachon.

Bonjour Jean,
The red, white an blue sculpture makes quite an impact in the composition of this image and it caught my eye. I also like that you have added some human interest, that you have caught the woman looking at the sculpture and the lighting is soft and forming some interesting shadows. The line of trees in the background creates a very nice curve to lead your eye out of the image. The only thing I would change is to remove the crane in the back right corner. You could do this by moving your camera slightly to the left, or with the clone tool in photoshop.

Je comprends le regard perplexe de la dame devant cette sculpture ! Il est fort probable que celle-ci fasse rêver les enfants, quant aux grands ?

"14 juillet" the festivity day in France.
Excellent composition, colour and presentation be superb.
Lovely picture with these flag as statue in foreground, the lady and dog are a nice addition.

La présence de la personne et du chien a un effet d'échelle de grandeur. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la sculpture en forme de bonbon aux couleurs de la France. La bonne luminosité rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bon dimanche.

quelle vue et image quel bonbon sueprbe quelle couleur et il est immense sueprbe avec le personnage et je pense que le petit chien aimerait bien cette douceur.

Bonjour Jean,

Even with the "sweet tooth" I have, I couldn't possibly eat that large amount of candy! :) A very nice manner to proudly display the national colors in a fun and unique way. This work of art is bright and colorful, it really stands out against the more natural muted tones of the surroundings. Perfect timing to catch the regard in wonder from this person in passing. Hope you had a pleasant 14th! Bonne journee.

Le 14 est deja le passe, alors la capture est bonne par la maniere qui a la femme de la regarder, sans enthousiasme, commme si elle se demandai que etait cela, tandis que le chien ne s interesse pas

Hi Jean,
Happy Bastille day, belatedly! It was the colors and appearance of the sculpture that caught my eye in the thumbnail for this photo. In the full size, the detail on the line of trees impresses me, as well. I would not have noticed the crane had someone else not mentioned it. I guess I would consent to removing it, but it is so minor that it may not be worth the effort. Besides, if you are a purist, you might not want to alter reality. Another thought, if this is cropped from a larger photo, is to include all of it.

The sculpture is quite original and very well positioned in a public place... but... what is really interesting is the body language of the lady..... she is trying to come to grips with ..... another artistic expression which is new to her..... and also all of us
