Au XVIIème siècle, les abords de l’abbaye ont été embellis par la réalisation d’une cour d’honneur avec porte d’entrée monumentale jouxtée de jardins. En effet, Fontfroide est réputée pour sa roseraie, la plus importante du Midi de la France, son jardin de senteurs ainsi que le jardin dit « de la Portion Cule » planté de cyprès, d’oliviers et d’iris de collection.

The golden tones of nicely textured wall offer a delightful focal point and sits under well under the saturated blue sky. Good management of the light and shadow contrasts and excellent rendering of all that beautiful textural detail.

Les arbres cadrent bien les remparts. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des remparts. La qualité de la lumière embellit les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Bonjour Philippe,

J'ai comme l'impression de frapper un mur plus dur que ma t^te dans cette cour d'honneur. Beau jeu d'ombre et de lumière avec une belle contre plongée qui utilise bien le ciel bleu comme arrière plan.
