Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

Yesterday, I posted a photograph of the Sacre Coeur chapel in Berne, which was a beautiful little church, almost hidden from view by a tranquil, wooded area.

This mornning, I am posting one of its beautiful stained glass windows.

PLease click here to see the larger, sharper Beta version.

The windows appear to show the 'sacred heart' revealed by Christ, and St Margaret (maybe a corruption of Mary, his mother).

There are dedications, perhaps to the benefactors and a signature of the artist, dated 1946. Maybe the windows were a thanks to the end of the WW2.

The church seemed much smaller internally than it appeared on the outside. Although there was no-one around to confirm our theories, it seemed that the confessional was outside, next to the doorway.

I wish you a happy day, Bev :-)
