Street photography: you don't know what you are going to take in picture, you have to be curious. When I arrived on the place, there was a big white dust cloud, so I came close to discover this man with a circular saw, eroding the limestone in order to create a door from the top window.

It is a very good piece of street photography.
The white cloud of dust appears like a manmade mist!
For a still photograph, you have engendered an amazing sense of movement.

I am really surprised that the workman is not wearing a mask.
That dust will, I fear, get into his lungs!

A man doing a kind of work I have rarely seen. As such this is an interesting document, and it's generally a fine street photo. It's well cropped and the dust is well exposed. I would definitely have attempted a similar photo if I had the opportunity.

Bonjour Claude,

Another of your fine candid street shots, very well seen and very well taken.

I suspect that you took this with a long lens, so protecting your lungs from the clouds of stone dust and also yourself from flying bits of stone debris. Unlike the workman himself who is clearly not wearing gloves, goggles or a face mask.

Lovely light, true colours, perfect exposure and excellent detail and sharpness.

Brilliant!

The white haze/smoke is terrific here, the center of the image seems to be about to vanish. Nice one, Claude. Great sharpness on the man himself. Cheers!
