Photographer's Note

The Notre-Dame church of the late 11th century was rebuilt in the 17th century after the Wars of Religion. It has retained many characters of local Romanesque architecture
It housed the council in which the marriage of King Louis VII of France to Eleanor of Aquitaine was declared void. She then married the future king of England Henri Plantagenêt. The church became a parish during the Revolution.
