Avapessa, a photo from Corse, South

Photographer's Note

There would be many things to say on the composition of this photograph. I'll be briefe as usual. ;-))
Lovely small village of Balagna like already known as with the photograph of MURO, AVAPESSA (65 inhabitants – 265 m of altitude) is nested at mountainside, surrounded by oaks and olive-trees. The red tasks that you see at the feet of the trees are nets posed on the ground to collect olives because Balagna is an area considered for its olive's oil. A fair of the olive-tree takes place each year at MONTEGROSSO, a nearby village.
The branch of tree is that of a white oak whose sheets are corroded this year by an invasion of silk worm. The disease reaches the stage of their transformation into million small butterflies. Fortunately the trees don't decay after their passage.

Very beautifully framed, Pierre. I like the way the far side of the village echoes the slope that you're on, and the branch echoes the photo border. Nice mix of colors, too.

And another one of the lovely scenic mountain villages. You made a pleasant natural framing here, using the foreground plants and branches well to make sure the colorful buildings get to make a grand appearance. The natural springtime colors are very nice to see, too. Belle photo, Pierre.

Très joli encadrement naturel pour ce petit village perdu au milieu des oliviers ! Bien vu !

Joli coup d'oeil Pierre, tu nous donnes l'impression d'avoir "volé" cette image ou à tout le moins de t'être caché pour la prendre.
J'aime bien le contraste des maisons blanches dans cette quasi monochromie verte.

Le fait d'avoir cadrer avec cet arbre est vraiment bien vu, cela a déjà été fait mais ici c'est superbe.
En plus ce village a de l'allure.
