Due to its canals, Martigues is known as the "Venice of Provence." It is a lovely place to take a walk and enjoy a meal along a canal.

Hi Randy.

Charming place, quite relaxed eating out there in the late summer light.
Good colors, it looks as though the focus is just before the people eating. A little further would have made the picture even better.

This is really beautiful place. Nice house with blue
windows, they are so characteristic for Provence.
Nice colors and lighting in the background. The flowers
on the first plan are great decoration.

Hallo Randy! I like this picture very much! That's holiday, relaxing, an excellent dinner, a good wine, a good conversation - all ingredients for having a good time. A wonderful atmosphere... and here at this time there are icy roads! But everything at it's time!

Nice composition, which includes almost all elements of the "Provençale" atmosphere (it seems that only the "pétanque" players are missing ;-)

I like the colors and the quietness (it was only the beginning of July..)

And by the way, I wished to tell you that I also like the idea of an American guy falling in love with our Provence :-)

Very nice! Pastel colors are gorgeous. I especially like the gold lighted interior contrasting with the cornflower blue shutters. In fact, your photo has splashes of cornflower blue all over your image. Everything beyond the foreground of flowers looks sharp. It's a very likable image.
