Photographer's Note
The d'Orsey museum was originally a train station, thus the giant clock. There is a huge ferris wheel in the background.

This image doesn't work for me. The close crop and extreme back-light provide a good graphic background. However, there is no central subject to focus on. The figure is off to the side and is in an awkward position. To me, the figure is ambiguous and distracting, rather than intriguing. The key to improving this image would be to wait a little longer for the perfect moment to complement the backdrop.

I love geometric shapes and form. The ferris wheel adds to the braces and beams in the clock. I like this one.

Good contrast! The another ferris wheel in the back makes it even better!

It is a great place for a photo. I've got one lined up for posting on TE taken from the same spot as you. The difference being I had a couple together with the picture in horizontal format. Like you I took picture in B&W - somehow it just looks better than colour.

Very nice exposition. I like the DOF very efficient.
NB: Musée d'Orsay (correct spelling) was originally a train station (Gare d'Orsay) in the early 1900's (There are actually nice impressionnist paintings of this station, I don't remember who made it (wasn't it Monet ?)). This train station was actually connecting Orsay town and further to Orléans.

I love contrast and silhouettes and this is just perfect. Good crop and perfect timing. Maybe you could use a white frame to show it like a postcard.
