Photographer's Note
Somewhere in Paris this man can be seen breaking through a wall. His movement is frozen in stone. But it is aided by the movement of my one wobbly hand as I took this picture in passing with my Pentax IM-400, as I ambled through the streets of Paris on a hot summer's day some years ago.
It is sadly hidden in a little side street, not very well publicized. Unfortunately I was in a hurry to get to the Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, Montmartre or somewhere, so I did not stop to find out who had created this clever piece.
Addendum:
Thanks to TE member 'green' I have been enlightened: This is a statue of the main character Garou-garou from Marcel Aymée's short story "Le passe muraille". This sculpture was done by famous french actor Jean Marais who became a sculptor at the end of his life.
This artwork can be found on rue Lepic in Montmartre.
