Causse of Blandas

On causses of Herault and Gard, one now meets bovine extensive breedings for a production of meat. Most of the time, composed of pure Aubrac race, the herds are left goes up from there natural, 1 bull for 30 cows approximately. The calves remain with the mother and drink her milk. The reproducers are registered with the herd book of the race. Each animal has 20 hectares covered with wood, coppice and natural meadows without contribution of manure. The meat obtained is of great quality.

Accustomed to this mode of existence, the animals are wild.

On the photo, a cow, a calf hardly visible and a male with the aspect not really engaging.
