Old good Eiffel Tower or La Tour Eiffel.

Olympus mju2, Kodak TRI-X 400 pushed up to 800.

Second hand film camera - £15, roll of film - £2.10, developing - £5. Good photo - priceless. Hmm... that reminds me this series of tv adverts ;).

I liked this shot, you got a different view from an usual subject. I think it is funny, the tower and that people are like fellows posing for a photo

I like how the distortion of the lens makes the tower appear to lean towards the other fellow in the shot. It gives some human quality to that shaft of iron. Tonality is nice, the dark face is a bit of a mystery which also adds to the photo for me. AND, well you can't go wrong with Tri-x.

Very nice juxtaposition here, Maciej, a very clever "tourist" pic. I like the rather sad and crumpled shape of the brolly next to the needle-like tower.
BTW have you checked out Luko's "tourists" gallery on pBase - a must see!

Nice photograph Maciej...somehow it's always the simple elements in a photographic composition which makes all the difference...this one is definitely that..the proportionality is nicely spotted and taken by you..it seems like it was drizzling..or really a dull weather all around..

I like how simple this compo is- so straight forward. And this shot isn't taking itself too seriously; it's more playful, especially with the umbrella hanging on the man's shoulder. Good job- I like the unique view you've put on this traditional scene.

Hi M,

This is beautiful. The tower, the distortion due to lens, the lonely tourist-everything adds to your compo. I like the leaning effect probably caused by the distortion of the lens. I like the use of b/w. a whole lot of empty space is really nice here. I like it very much.

Nice shot Maciej of the tourist imitating the famous tower to the left. Some nice minimalism which gives it a bit of impact. This must be one of the hardest tourist attractions in the world to shoot in an original way, and you've done it well.
