What Time Is It In…
Daylight Saving Time ended in Europe last night, but North America keeps using it until next weekend and of course there are many parts of the world which do not observe DST at all. So in order to help you find the right time again, here’s a clock that shows the time in 148 major cities around the globe. This Weltzeituhr (World Clock) is located at the public square of Alexanderplatz in central Berlin. The clock was completed in 1969.

Hej Lars,
Gert

Hello Lars, a good idea to show this remarkable clock this weekend. I have never seen a world clock before, and this is a sight that would be a must if visiting Berlin.
In Plymouth city centre, we have a large sundial, nothing as grand as this!
In the sphere above, are the orbs supposed to be the planets?
Are the names of the cities illuminated from the interior of the giant cylinder?
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Interesantan nacin da se pokaze vreme u svetu, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom i dobrim tekstom.

Hi Lars,
The tight frame is putting the clock in evidence. The point of view is showing the details of the world clock. The light is giving good colours rendering. Have a nice dya.

Hello Lars, I see that we are in the same time zone (I knew about it of course). Now the hour zero on TE is 8 a.m. instead of 9. I have no special problem with it but I do not go to work. Most people do not like this change. When I went by Trans-Siberian in Russia, I passed a few time zones. But the railway stations clocks always show the Moscow time.
Excellent night shot.

Hello Lars,
This is one amazing timepiece but, more than that, it is a beautiful work of art!
I really like your tight crop, where attention is firmly focussed on the time piece, giving clear details of it. The limited colour palette seems to unite everything.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Lars,
Pardon, what time is it in, again? oh,it's almost 21:15 pm time to go back to hotel, said your Father. :-)
I'm always find so fascinating to know the Time of the world when I see one in airport or hotel. A 'Weltzeituhr' like this one will do me fine. I'll just stood there watching the world as the 'Time Flying Away' from day to night.
I do like the Solar System above - amazing planet of Saturn in the clear blue sky.
Thanks for sharing this world 'clocks'.

lars
the view of left was almost showing the first brazilian hour in fernando de noronha island. a nice view of this structure so curious.
fortunately brazil put an end in the terrible "summer hour" I hated that because I was obligated to wake up earlier and to close the shop in a wrong hour and I had to work an hour more.
take care

Goedenavond Lars,
Een goede vraag **What Time Is It**
Goed foto werk; bedankt.
Prettige avond verder,
John.

Hallo Lars,
Vele groeten, Paul

Lars, this world clock is an original idea. It shows the different time zones of the world. It surmonted by a beautiful sculpture reminding the planets. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hi Lars
Daylight saving started in Sydney & Melbourne last week and ends in March. But here in Brisbane there is no need for it as the sun still sets around 6 -> 6:30 pm. But 9:30 pm or later in Melbourne where it works well. Nice inclusion of the 2 clocks with excellent sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Lars,
a very interesting structure and posted at the very suitable time. It must be very difficult to keep it up to date since it does not look digital and some countries change the rules as well. I suspect some times may be off but it is the idea which counts here.
Great reportage,

Hi Lars
now how come we havn't seen this on TE before, or maybe we have...its just strange because you'd think I would remember such a strange clock. So cool though, I like it, and to capture it at blue hour is even better. Does it light up a lot at night - do you know? fun shot, love it. cheers
