Photographer's Note
Quedlinburg is one of the best-preserved medieval and renaissance towns in Europe, having escaped major damage in World War II. It has a wide selection of half-timbered buildings from at least five different centuries. The old town of Quedlinburg and the castle mount with the collegiate church are listed as one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.
On that evening there was some live TV production going on, and the market square was floodlit with powerful spotlights.

Hello Kari,
The light management and sharpness are excellent in this photo of Quedlinburg, which I knew virtually nothing about until I read your note. I imagine in the cold of winter this scene would be much less enticing than in July when you shot it.
Have a good weekend,
Bulent

HI Kari
Is this an early Blue Hour shot? The light is lovely but very difficult to tell what time of day we're talking about. I like the old architecture and how it's been beautifully details and of course the inclusion of all those people sitting out and enjoying themselves adds to the relaxed sense of atmosphere.
Thanks for sharing, have a great Sunday
Lisa
