Photographer's Note
Yes this tower does lean a good bit! I picked the POV that showed the greatest angle of lean for this shot.
This 13th century tower does not lean because of an architectural defect, but because of 800 years of flooding. Wertheim's location on the edge of the Main and Tauber Rivers makes it susceptible to flooding, and many of the old town structures including the Pointed Tower have markers that show just how high the water has been over the centuries.

Hi Asa,
Wonderful vertical presentation of this beautiful leaning tower that stands out so well against the vivid blue sky.
Great details and sharpness to this lovely bit of strange architecture.
Very informative note as to the forces of nature that have caused this unique place.

Hello Asa,
A fine capture of this less well known 'leaning tower'. The vertical format is well chosen to accentuate the soaring tower as it points to the lovely sky above. Very good colours and clarity.

Bonjour Asa
belle composition de cette tour que le temps a fait pencher avec les inondations consécutives

Hi Asa,
until now I did not know anything about the existence of such a leaning tower in Germany! So your work represents the spirit of TE very well! I also like the beautiful colours. TfS!
Warm regards

Hi Asa,
A ne pas redresser surtout ! ;o)
Superbe trouvaille que ce vieux "crayon" penché. Dire qu'il date du 13e s. ! Joli cadrage.
Well done!

Hi Asa,
one of the several in Germany with a tilt, not only the famous one in Pisa has lost his balance. Well done as I thought first that you got some distortion but that is not the thing. Fine colours and contrasts.

Hallo Asa!
Interesting shot - perhaps a bit too dark. I never have heard about it. Good to have TE! ;-)
Let's hope that it will "survive" another couple of centuries...
Greetings from an a tiny bit autumnal but still warm Germany!

Bonjour Asa,
elle penche un peu cette tour et cela me gêne, un petit redressement aurait été bénéfique pour la photo.
J'aurais aussi tenté un cadarge plus à droite car là pour moi est l'intérêt avec cette architecture spéciale.
Regards.
Daniel.

Hello Asa:
I couldn't really tell if this structure is tilted or not if you wouldn't state it in the description. It is because most camera lenses tend to make the lines converge. But after knowing it is true that the tower is tilted, I must say it must be an incredible sight.
I´ve seen markers of the historic water levels in many places in Germany, so it must be a problem they already know how to live with, although I think not one they like.
In this picture I like the inclusion of the tree leaves on the top left corner. Otherwise it just would be plain sky.
Did you pay a visit to the Café Pizzeria?
Greetings from Germany,
Jürgen

Hi Asa,
The branches in the foreground are framing well the tower and the house. The point of view is allowing us to see the details and colors of the architecture of the buildings. It is like a copy cat of the Pisa tower about leaning. The light is enhancing the colors. have a nice day.
Pierre
