Photographer's Note

This is the city hall of Wertheim Germany. The photo was taken from a footbridge over the Taber River. Wertheim is a town of just over 20,000 inhabitants. Its medieval town core with traditional half-timbered houses and church spires is on a narrow triangle of land between the confluence of the Main and Tauber River.

Hi Asa,
A great POV to show the antique and charming architecture of that Town Hall that looks much like a castle. The compo is very tidy and pleasant to the eye, as the clarity and colours. Maybe the shadows are wee too dark, but nothing important; anyway, it's a question of taste and maybe it's more apparent because of my preference for not so bright displays.

A picturesque piece of architecture, this city hall!
This is a nice use of a old building that will be taken good care of in this function...
The point of view is effective in showing the details, and the image is well composed with the tower as a natural eye-catcher!

It took me a couple of days to find your 200th. Congratulations on achieving the milestone.
Nice shot to do it with, too. Well composed, richly coloured, and the angle of view combined with the flag-topped tower behind give depth to the composition. Good presentation of this building.

Hi Asa,
Congratulations on your 200th post and what a fine image you have chosen from the occasion.
Love the lighting that renders verying shades of red and green to go along with the sooting shadows in the foreground.
The pastel sky makes the perfect backdrop for this fine bit of German architecture.
