Photographer's Note

In the Book of Genesis, God says: “Let there be light!”.
We cannot imagine a life in darkness. In fact, if there was no sunlight anymore, we would die in the matter of few month at latest. There would be nothing to eat. Or would we freeze to death first? Hard to tell.
There was a period in history called Enlightenment, it was also called the Age of Reason. Light illuminates things, puts them in perspective. In the darkness you have to rely on someone to give you directions but what if he or she is wrong?
Nobody is more aware of the importance of light than a photographer. A photographer is worried: will he have a good light there? Warm colors of the evening or long shades of the morning.? Harsh or soft. What will be the contrast level? How about the blue hour?
Too often while in travel we either have to “take it or leave it”. This photo is a good example, it was a very charming spot but photographed at quite terrible light conditions. Nevertheless, I wanted to share it to show you one more spot from the charming town of Luneburg.
The round tower which you can see in the centre of the photo is the Lüneburg Water Tower, it has an observation deck at the top. I will show you a view from it in the next upload.
