Cathedral and Hohenzollern Bridge.

As I did not have a tripod i had to use the stone wall
at the Rhine river.

Hallo Thorsten,
The combination of different light elements in your picture is fantastic. The cathedral and the bridge are well known from postcards of Köln, but you have gone a step further, playing with the red, white and blue lights, and making some reflections on the river. The sharpness is excellent, and the POV is really good as we can have an overview of this side of the river.
Congratulations, I think it's superb!

Maybe Cologne is not my favourite city but your photo is sharp, very god POV and the lights playing in the background are marvelous. Amazing.

The colors of the bridge are wonderful, also the reflection in the water its splendid, you did very good with these night picture, well done.

Simply superb Thorsten. The Shapes of all structures are very sharp and the blue is perfectly burnt too!
So, this is Cologne huh! Superb place. Should be a downtown. I have colleagues I work with from here. That times i imagine how the city would look based on what they describe.

By the way, thanks for adding so much of you photos to the theme. i really think that the Dome deserves its special place on TE.

Very nice photo. The reflection on the water is really great. The lights are very well captured, and the Cathedral occupies a very nice place in the photo.

I know how it is difficult to get a good POV in night shots without tripod!
The reflections on Rhein are quite good.

Hi Thorsten. The colors are unbelievable, but the purple/blue reflections on the right are a bit over the top. I do like the bridge and cathedral, by themselves they would be a stunning picture.

Hi Thorsten,
fantastic nightshot. It is a classic. I spent about 7 years in Germany and yet I have never visited Koeln.
This view is really encouraging to visit.
I would personally try to do it at the blue hour so the sky and the river would have more color but it is the matter of personal preference.

Beautifull image! Great composition, where the sharpness and the 3 different main elements and its tones play a very special role: the bridge, the cathederal and the blue/ neon lights. Of course the reflexions on the water are great too. Very good work and good help from the stone wall :)Rgds
