Photographer's Note

A scene taken near the famous "Bunte Kuh" rock formation in Ahr valley. just upstream from Walporzheim.
The once two lane hard surface road has been reduced by the floods to a one lane gravel road and re-upgraded to a one lane hard surface road in the meantime (leading through the deep gap in the rock).
A nearby railway bridge has been washed away completely.
You can seen that the colour of the restaurant walls changes from white to brown in the middle of its windows. That is because the water went up to this markings, forcing the wall plaster to be scrapped off before starting renovation (which obviously is in progress). Water gauge can be estimated to have been 8 m in this very place, where the valley is only 50 m wide.
Craftsmen and donations are still very welcome.
